The Laing’s
On June 14, 2025, I had the absolute joy of capturing Maggie & Allen’s wedding day. Their love was woven into every moment—through their giggles, tender glances, and laughter that filled the air. As they became one, their families came together too, creating a beautiful circle of love and support. Everywhere you looked, smiles stretched ear to ear as loved ones watched the Laing’s begin their forever together.
My first stop was capturing Maggie’s getting ready photos at her parents’ quaint and welcoming home, filled with warmth and excitement. Surrounded by her closest friends, the room buzzed with laughter and happy chatter as they did each other’s makeup, shared stories, and celebrated their beautiful bride-to-be with so much love. During this time, my second shooter joined Allen as he and the men got ready, proudly wearing their kilts and sharing the morning together. One of the sweetest moments was watching his dad gently help him get dressed, a quiet exchange filled with tenderness, pride, and love as they prepared for such a meaningful day.
Once the getting ready photos were finished, we made our way to Errington Hall, the place where Maggie and Allen would soon say ‘I do.’ When I arrived, we began with their first touch—Allen stood with his eyes gently closed, waiting to hold Maggie’s hand and share a quiet, heartfelt moment before walking down the aisle. They talked about their mornings, exchanged sweet words, and giggled together, overflowing with excitement as they reminded each other how much they couldn’t wait to finally become husband and wife.
Soon the ceremony began, with each guest greeted by the sweetest little newspaper all about Maggie and Allen—something everyone loved reading as they waited for the celebration to start. Their ceremony was tucked away in the forest, on a soft grassy patch, with an arch that looked as though it was pulled straight from Bridgerton. Adorned with delicate white florals and surrounded by perfectly placed chairs, the whole scene felt timeless, romantic, and straight out of a fairytale.
First, Allen entered with his parents by his side. As he reached his place, he closed his eyes, steadying himself while his mom gently comforted him in such a tender moment of love and support. Then their dearest friends walked down the aisle, soon after it was Maggie’s turn—she began her walk down the aisle with her parents beside her, radiant and glowing with joy. When Allen finally opened his eyes and saw her for the very first time, all he could whisper was, ‘oh wow,’ as pure emotion and love washed over him. Their ceremony was full of love and emotion from their friends and family.
After the ceremony, Maggie and Allen were showered with warm hugs, heartfelt congratulations, and joyful greetings from their loved ones before we set out for family, wedding party, and couple portraits. During their couples photos, we wandered around the beautiful ceremony grounds, giving them the chance to slow down and simply be together. It was such a sweet time—just the two of them, soaking in the joy of being newly married—as we captured their first tender moments as husband and wife.
Soon the reception began, and friends and family filled the room with heartfelt words of love and admiration for Maggie and Allen. Their dinner was nothing short of spectacular, followed by the sweetest moment of sharing their cake together. Just steps away, they shared their first dance—an intimate, beautiful moment—before inviting everyone to join them on the dance floor for a night of laughter, joy, and wild dancing. Maggie and Allen’s wedding was truly a celebration of love, and one that will be remembered forever.
